Overview SVIT activities and development in 2002

After learning how to talk and walk, we started to learn the alphabet. Our activists attended SCI seminar in St. Petersburg, Technical European Meeting of SCI in Romania, organized joint trainings with Andreas Kunz from Pro International and Sara Loyttyjarvi from KVT-Finland. Resulting from training with Andreas Kunz, two SVIT activists were invited to be campleaders in camps of Pro International in Germany.

In Summer 2002 SVIT has organized three international workcamps "Your Majesty, Oak!", "Playground for the Orphanage" and "Nature and Volunteers", which were supported by SCI, US Peace Corps, IBO, Pro International. "MAMA-86" Artemovsk was involved in two of these camps as local project partner, and a number of Ukrainian NGOs expressed interest to be involved in SVIT activities in future. On the last SVIT meeting in October 2002 one of them, "Zeleny SVIT ' Lugansk", became a new member of SVIT.
